Jeffrey Epstein acquired a smaller island - the Little St James - back in 1998, but later purchased the more expansive adjacent island in 2016 for a sum of $22.5 million.
This visual evidence indicate he had created ambitious plans to build upon the 161-acre island by constructing residences, an amphitheatre, an submerged workspace and a pool.
You can see the plan is Pillsbury Sound, a marine passage in the region, indicated on the south-eastern section.
The architectural drawing is annotated in red pen markings and includes a legend labelling different parts of the land.
